INDEX II: DATASET (LANDSBANKINN) - 2023

The composition to the right within ‘Index II: Dataset’’ describes the privatisation of Landsbankinn through forms that represent two dates relevant to that historic development. The first is 1997 when Landsbankinn became a publicly traded company and the second 2003 when its privatisation was considered to have been completed.

The (mint) green and yellow forms that stand parallel to each other are built on a digital model in which the indices of M3 (broad money) and credit are plotted on a horizontal axis (x), and GPD on a vertical axis (y), which are then plotted along a z-axis of time to create a (digital) mass by connecting their vertices. The years 1997 and 2000 are extracted from within that mass.

The large pink and small red forms that run parallel to each other and intersect with the green and yellow are based on banking system indices by plotting banking system assets and equities on a horizontal axis (x) and banking system liability index on a vertical axis (y). The years 1997 and 2000 are then extracted from within that mass.
